Medical Infusion Pump Manufactures are being rigorously scrutinized by the Federal Food and Drug Administration. There is presently an unprecedented action being taken by the FDA to improve the safety of these devices. There are several parameters that are evaluated in an Air-In-Line detection system for infusion pumps: air bubble detection, bubble size, detection of IV tubing, flow and temperature as related to viscosity. The AIL sensors technology offered by CTL address solutions for all of the parameters required for a comprehensive system.
